PEILAPALAP, POHNPEI—On October 8, 2025, Governor Stevenson A. Joseph administered the oath of office to Mr. Whynold Inos, officially appointing him as a member of the Board of the Small Business Finance and Guarantee Corporation (SBF&GC). The ceremony was held in the Governor’s Cabinet Conference Room and witnessed by Lieutenant Governor Movick, Senator Kikuo Apis Jr., Senator Dionisio Saimon, SBGFC Chairman of the Board, Salvason Salvador, Executive Director Thomas Pablo, Board members Johnny Musrasrik and Joseph Felix Jr., other government officials, family and friends of Mr. Inos.
In his remarks, Governor Joseph welcomed everyone to the ceremony and expressed his appreciation to Mr. Inos for accepting the appointment. The Governor noted that there had been a delay in the process, as he had initially considered Mr. Inos for another board, and thanked him for his continued willingness to serve. Governor Joseph also extended his gratitude to the Pohnpei State Legislature for their advice and consent in confirming the appointment.
Following the Governor’s remarks, Lieutenant Governor Movick and Senator Apis jointly presented the Certificate of Appointment to Mr. Inos.
In her closing remarks, Lieutenant Governor Movick thanked the Pohnpei State Legislature and the leadership of the Small Business Finance and Guarantee Corporation for their partnership with the Executive Branch in advancing small business initiatives. She highlighted the importance of the Corporation’s role in promoting entrepreneurship and economic development across the State. The Lieutenant Governor also expressed her confidence in Mr. Inos’ ability to assume his duties effectively, noting that, as a small business owner himself, he brings valuable firsthand experience and perspective to the board.
